The Russian State Library, the National Library of Israel and the PERI Charitable Foundation cooperation in digitizing of the unique collection of Baron Ginsburg – the second largest collection of the ancient Jewish literature – has been successfully developing. Restoration of the first ten manuscripts of the collection will start concurrently with digitizing within the scope of the project.
The project three- party meeting was held on July 10 th at the Pashkov House. Among the project participants are the Russian State Library, the National Library of Israel and the PERI Foundation. In the course of digitizing these rare art objects from the Gintsburg Collection get into the electronic library of the Russian State Library and the digital platform “Ktiv” of the National Library of Israel.
On June 22, UNESCO headquarters in Paris welcomed the conference on submission of the international Convention on reproduction, storage and distribution of works of art and cultural heritage by means of digital technologies within the global initiative of ReACH (Reproduction of Art and Culture Heritage), created by Victoria and Albert museum with the assistance of Peri Foundation.
