The Russian Investment Forum, a traditional platform for presenting Russia’s investment and economic potential, was held on February 15th and 16th in Sochi. Executive director Dmitry Tomchuk appeared at the round table entitled ‘The Charity of Tomorrow: Trends That Are Changing the Social Domain’ to tell about the construction in Makhachkala of PERImeter, a workshop space for innovation by talented, proactive and creative young people that offers them varied opportunities for ongoing education in fields such as artificial intelligence and big data, robotics, the internet of things, blockchain, VR/AR/MR, and quantum technologies.
The Ziyavudin Magomedov PERI Charitable Foundation has announced the appointment of Dmitry Tomchuk as executive director. Dmitry Tomchuk had this to say: ‘I am very pleased to become part of the PERI Foundation team. I hope that together we will advance the Foundation’s mission. Through our joint efforts, we will figure out how to get the most from its programmes by seeing that they are responsive to the demands of the times and that they give young people full access to the latest technology so that they can convert their ideas into projects.’
In 2017 the P. S. Gamzatova Dagestan Museum of Fine Art won a competition for a grant from the Head of the Republic of Dagestan. As part of that grant, high-resolution digital copies of some 400 pieces in the museum’s collection are to be made. The PERI Foundation has supported the museum’s digital copying project and, as a partner in it, has offered the cultural institution its high-resolution equipment.
