On March 5, with the assistance of Peri Foundation, the XIV conference of the Vedomosti newspaper dedicated to charity in Russia took place. This conference is traditionally the largest specialized platform for interaction of professional community and discussion of questions of development of the non-commercial sector with еру representatives of state structures and socially-oriented business.
This year the evaluation of the efficiency of charity became the central theme of the conference, which is extremely important as for those who donate money and for those who organize and carry out charity programs.
Within the "Evaluation of the Charitable Organizations — Assessment Possible" session the executive director of Peri Foundation Dmitry Tomchuk pointed out the five criteria by which the fund evaluates its projects. They are - technological efficiency, scalability, stability, uniqueness, and public relations potential. According to Dmitry, "for Peri Foundation assessment is the control centre, thanks to it we understand how to achieve our objectives. Assessment is an adventure, and not suffering. It is our tool for development."
