Reconstruction of the Fine Arts Museum named after P.S. Gamzatova

The first stage of the reconstruction works of the Fine Arts Museum named after P.S. Gamzatova was successfully completed with the support of PERI Foundation.

The museum is housed in the former Supreme Court building which was erected in 1930s and for the past decades was in dire need of a major repair and restoration of workshops and archive depositories to ensure the survival of the museum's collection of more than 18,000 works of art.

During the restoration works the basement was refurnished so that the archives could be safely kept. Furthermore the roof was restored, climate and security systems were upgraded, fire alarm system was installed, the façade and part of the first floor area were also restored.
