On May 13th and 14th the PERI Innovation business incubator held the 4Kids Hackathon Spring 2017 for children. Over 150 schoolchildren came to attend this IT marathon from all across Dagestan, from Charodinsk to Khasavyurt.
A total of 35 projects were presented and evaluated according to four criteria: creativity, usefulness, sophistication, and degree of completion. Because choosing the best of the projects was no simple task, the jury was divided into ten teams. Hackathon partners provided presents for the winners: IntexSoft gave them VR headsets, Rostelcom provided interactive TV equipment, and the Planeta Detstva store for children gave electronic construction sets and globes. The PERI Innovation business incubator gave them helicopters with video cameras. In addition, they received vouchers for English language study at the Lingua Plus school and vouchers to train in any IT profession at the GeekBrains learning website.
Onlookers, designated mentor Roman Povolotsky, and all those on the jury remarked on the creativity, enterprise and variety of the projects.
